I enjoy the thrill of getting the very best deal & rock bottom prices. Really stretching my dollar. In my quest for a greener home, I want to get my hands on a variety of reusable glass containers.
To begin my "Going Green" Journey I purchased an amber glass bottle kit(s), on good ol' amazon, with spray nozzles, pump tops, and standard lids. Here is a good one to get you started:
I quickly used up these bottles rehoming some of my existing shower/ hygiene products for a more esthetic look. Once my products run out I have bottles ready for a homemade face wash, body wash, facial toner.
I additionally used 3- 16oz amber bottles with spray nozzles to house cleaning products.
Wood Cleaner- Murphy's Oil Soap & Water
Deodorizing Laundry Spray- Apple Cider Vinegar & Water
I also have 2 Grove Co. glass spray bottles with silicone sleeves to house 2 more of their essential oil based cleaning concentrates.
Glass Cleaner & All purpose
(These are $12.95 each, but I received both of mine for free. Keep reading to find out how you can too.)
As a free gift with purchase I received their dish soap starter set. This came with glass "soap" dispenser which will work great for one of my homemade shower essentials.

I have a glass drink dispenser set with a stand. Each container is 1 gallon & I plan to use this for my homemade laundry detergent & bleach alternative. Which I plan to share in an upcoming post.
I have yet to procure the following:
Glass baby food jar(s): Homemade toothpaste
1/2 Gallon Mason Jars: Pantry storage, fermenting, etc.
My mom has offered me some large pickle jars, & free really fits the bill.
Latching glass Jars: sourdough starter, homemade body scrubs
Glass carafe: homemade almond milk
& more glass food storage containers with BPA free lids
I plan to explore my local thrift shops and dollar store this week to see what I can find.
Do you have any storage favorites or recommendations?
